not the man

sorry everyone, that's not tom. it's a really funny picture that luke sent when the guys were talking about pompadours, but then chickened out of the style. i guess only a real man like johnny cash could pull something like that off. now they're just faux-hawkers like a lot of the world.

but tom's brother paul is thinking of going with the beckham-like mullet. i'm not sold, i'm a little nervous about it really. paul's a good looking guy, but a short-long is risky. it'll either make or break the dating scene for him. good luck paul.

Leah, as Paul's now nearest and dearest neighbor (he'd never consider Tom "dear") I'm holding you responsible for fighting off his mullet impulses for as long as possible. Maybe we can pool our resources and pay for his haircuts . . .in his sleep if necessary. Unfortunately I once cut Paul's hair, giving him a cross between Jim Carey's Dumb and Dumber look and a mullet. It's not a pretty sight.

i think that the blake boys have a propensity towards the dumb & dumber look; that used to be the case before tom realized it was okay to spend money on a good hair cut (and also, it's not a good idea to have someone who has no experience cut your hair, even if she is your wife...)

the mullet look is really big in europe now, at least in spain, so it worries me that paul will think he's starting the american trend. he's a good soccer player, but he's no david beckham. i'll do what i can sis.

I say let the man have a mullet. Nothing cures a man's desire for the ridiculous like finding himself to be ridiculous. In the mean time we will all have a good laugh while he's growing it. And the rules are, if a person can help their situation, i.e; bad haircut, they are free game for insulting. Cheers and let the jeers begin.

Last summer, my brother Nick grew a mullet as a joke. It was the "perfect" looking mullet. His thick, natural wave made it pretty sweet. He kept it all summer and even had it for a family portrait that was sent out at Christmas time.
PAUL: don't do it! It has to be pretty much the worst haircut ever...(like anyone could ever know that!)
