Saturday

Zeke became uncommonly fussy on August 23th and we took him to the hospital to find he had an infection spreading throughout his body. After several horrible hours and a transfer to Children's Mercy Hospital, Zeke died early Monday morning. We know that G0d is in control and are trusting that He will be with us in our pain. We are grieved beyond words and would appreciate your prayers.

Tom and Leah,

What words are there to offer during such a heavy time? I wanted you to know that prayers for your family have gone up from many many of us old friends. News of your loss circulated wide before last Monday was over and many share in your grief. We pray the Father's full comfort and peace during this time. Holy Father, give them rest and richness in Your presence. Bring healing and wisdom in Your faithfulness.

Everything around me reminds me of Baby Zeek, a song, a poem, a verse, a movie, a friend. I keep picturing him in Heaven with loved ones holding him. Praying continually for you.

Leah, your name came into my head today and I looked for your blog, having not read it since we moved. Kevin and I will be lifting your family up. Dear Jesus, please hold them tightly as they walk this road.
